Detroit Beer Company

Open daily for lunch, the Detroit Beer Company also has one of downtown’s hottest happy hours. Enjoy locally brewed beer, or pregame for the Tigers at this popular pre-game spot. Fare includes standard pub pizza and burgers, highlighted by a homemade Detroit Beer Cheese Soup.

Sweetwater Tavern

If you’re looking for something a little different, grab a ride and head to Detroit’s Historic District to the Sweetwater Tavern. Known for it’s wings, the Tavern has a highly rated happy hour. Even better, everything including the dressing is handmade. Explore the sights of the Historic area after dinner, or walk down to the Renaissance Center.

Riverwalk

In nice weather enjoy a riverfront stroll with live music. In the heart of Detroit downtown, the Riverwalk provides miles of landscaped beauty with so many different activities. Try Renaissance Center,  a one stop office, lodging and entertainment hub with so many places to visit. The center mixes local and national shops with both fine and casual dining. The best thing for out-of-towner’s is the easy access theater and health and fitness facilities.

If you’re looking for some nightlife, try the MGM Grand Detroit, the Motor City Casino, or the Greektown Casino. Home to hotel, casino, spas, and live entertainment. If you are looking for a mellow evening, try a hand of blackjack followed by a cocktail in the piano bar. For those still full of energy, you can dance the night away at the onsite nightclub. A little bit of Vegas on the other side of the states, Detroit has many casino options for many different tastes.
