You can definitely feel a change in the air on game days in downtown Detroit. Tailgaters, sport fans and vendors add to the exciting vibe that is game day. Fans pour in from all over Michigan to explore Detroit and enjoy the game. Whether it is a weekly tradition or special occasion, Detroit fans are very passionate and know how to have a good time! Getting to the Game
The Lions are just getting started while the Detroit Tigers are finishing strong, which is creating a lot of anticipation among Detroit sports fans. Getting down to the game is sometimes half of the battle. Plan ahead and leave with enough time to deal with potential Detroit game day traffic. Also, note that if you are in the Detroit area on a game day that there might be added traffic to deal with. Consider carpooling with friends to save on gas and parking fees. Most parking structures and parking lots around Comerica Park and Ford Field have a fee to park, so come prepared with cash! Most parking lots and structures can range from $10.00 to $25.00.
